How We Operate

People buy gym memberships because they want to achieve results, yet they are often sold the wrong solution. Training without a structured plan or relying on high-speed HIIT classes leads to a lack of tangible progress and increased risk of injury.

Making long-term change to your body is hard, and the industry of physical training is cluttered with methods and fashions that take away from the process of training - using the right tools for a specific outcome.

Our mission is to give self-motivated individuals the tools and environment to close the gap between where they are and where they need to be.

Riverside Gym functions differently to most facilities.

Our membership is based on physical assessment, clear goal setting and individualised programming - designed and monitored by highly experienced, degree-qualified strength and conditioning staff. 

You begin at your own level and under our guidance, train to be physically strong, relentlessly fit, and structurally sound.

Problem&Solution

Clarity

We begin by gathering detailed information: movement assessment, injury history, lifestyle factors, and training experience. From there, we help you carve out realistic targets and a training schedule you can stick to.

Strategy

Your programme is custom-built and deployed via our training app. Each session is clearly laid out with a simple interface, video instruction, and built-in data tracking.

As you complete blocks of training, we review your performance, communicate directly and construct your next training phase. 

Support

We maintain a culture of high-touch support through messaging, task assignment, video review and in-person conversation.

The entire gym is built around the principle of helping each client get the maximum benefit from their membership. 

We deliberately limit the number of people we work with to ensure that quality remains high.

Owner's Message

I’ve spent nearly 15 years learning everything I can about training, through university study, professional sport, coaching in schools and since 2017, running Riverside Gym.

 

My motivation for building this membership stems from a desire to help people achieve something difficult and meaningful. 

 

My experience in this gym dates back to walking through the doors as a teenager when Riverside Gym was a unique, no frills facility.

 

Through blasting rock music and clanging cast iron plates, I learned lessons that shaped the course of my life. Alongside hard work and commitment, I internalised the belief that what we achieve in the gym can improve our experience of life outside of it. 

That concept still drives me today. I see our membership as a platform for goal achievement and perhaps an anchor in people's lives. From a personal and professional perspective, it matters deeply to me that we deliver the highest possible standard for each person we work with.

Remote Membership

Too far from Hampton Court? Get the same structured and personalised coaching system remotely.
All you need is access to a basic gym setup.

Hampton Court Gym Membership

Train in person at our East Molesey facility, next to Hampton Court Station.
Structured coaching, individualised programmes, and a results-focused environment.

1-1 Coaching

Work with a coach on a 1-1 basis in the gym.
This can be used to support membership onboarding or used for stand alone sessions.
We have a dual-qualified physio/strength coach for specialist work.

The gym is situated in East Molesey (KT8 9HB) and serves members from nearby areas, including Esher, East Molesey, West Molesey, Hampton, Hampton Hill, Hampton Wick, Surbiton, Teddington, Thames Ditton and Kingston.
