Rob Doran, ex KRSC swimmer, know as the 'Indie Bar Kid' has now taken up Open Water Swimming. He recently entered his first race and won a £30 prize.

A more detailed report follows. Don't try this at home folks! Drink was consumed/challenges issued and after giving the opposition a head start Rob dived in, swam across the Thames (butterfly to start with just to impress) effortlessly overtook the opposition and swam back. By some miracle the opposition did not drown, the money was duly received and Rob did not have his face rearranged despite being outnumbered. How he laughed when he bumped into them at Hampton Swimming Pool the next day!
