Rob Doran has swum at County level. He achieved two Personal Best times at the ASA National LC Championships, Manchester 18th-20th July 2003. September 2003 Rob went up to Manchester University and continued to swim at a high level, training with James Hickman amongst others.

The time committment was such however that Rob felt his studies would suffer and accordingly retired. When I say studies I of course mean beer and women. As of 2005, Rob has turned into 'The Indie Bar Kid' can now generally be found in a bar, or occasionally under one at Riverside Gym, sporting a Trilby hat, Gucci dark glasses, a Raymond Weil watch & usually listening to the Libertines on his Ipod. (We think its the only album he has on it). Rob claims that Kate Moss is waiting for him to return her call!
