We are a small independent traditional gym, established in 1983, with an unmatched reputation for customer care & results. That's what we tell ourselves anyway! To our disbelief there is a recent 4 star review of the gym here.

No contracts or Direct Debits - instead you can pay per visit and memberships of any length are available, or for convenience you can pay monthly by Standing Order - which you control! We offer low income discount to students, au pairs etc or indeed anyone else we like the look of.

In addition to the instruction that is included in the memberships, one2one is available by appointment with one of the world's greatest coaches, or the gym boss Myles Irvine, depending on who is available. Beginners and those of a nervous disposition can find out more about what we do on the faq page.

Beginners, ladies and oldies are particularly welcome as are under 18's with parental permission. Tell us what your goals are & we will help you to achieve them. e.g. fat reduction, bodybuilding, rehabilitation, improved sports performance & stress reduction. We will promise absolutely anything to get you to sign up but we do get results! Our record weight loss is 6 stone!

Those that have suffered at our hands over the years include everyone from actors and actresses to competitive athletes, bodybuilders, boxers, dancers, golfers, gophers, footballers, martial artists (including one of Jackie Chan's sparring partners - you have to hear the story to believe it!), meerkats, models (even the odd Page 3 girl), real tennis players, rugby players, Sky engineers, one of the worlds' top stuntmen, competitive swimmers (one of our specialities) & windsurfers including two world champions plus, more importantly, all sorts of ordinary folk just wanting to get fitter or lose weight.  We have also helped people to pass fitness tests for the Police, Fire Brigade and Armed Forces including the Royal Marines.
