The Riverside Gym is a small independent traditional gym established in 1983. It has a fully equipped gym with free weight, machines, Ivanko Olympic bar & Panatta power rack & the latest cardio-vascular machines by SportsArt, Concept 2 & Monarch for fitness conditioning. There is also a Klafs Sonne sunbed, Nordic sauna, changing rooms and showers.We sell the latest gym and leisurewear in a wide range of styles and sizes & also provide an extensive range of food supplements, drinks and energy bars for a comprehensive range of quality nutrition.

Or, tranlated into english, we are a prehistoric gym with a pile of rusting antiquated machinery. Suggestions that episodes of Scrapheap Challenge have been filmed here are harsh but fair. In the shop we have the odd case of drinks well past their sell-by date and tattered bits of old tracksuit hanging around gathering dust. Inside one of those bits of tracksuit you will find the gym boss.

What we do

Tell us what your goals are & we will help you to achieve them. e.g. improved stamina, fat reduction, bodybuilding, rehabilitation, improved sports performance & stress reduction. We will promise anything to get you to sign up but we do get results. In addition to the instruction that is included in the memberships, one on one personal instruction by appointment is available daytime when we are quieter. Location

Find us on the map near to Hampton Court railway station just the other side of the river from Hampton Court Palace. There are half hourly trains from Waterloo via Surbiton, see South West Trains for timetable and there are bus services from Richmond, Kingston, Hampton, Thames Ditton, Cuba, Esher, Walton & Molesey. Car parking on the street is FREE all day after 9.30am. You can also park at the back of the gym anytime but may get shouted at by Bill or Mick.
